Fredrik Backman
Fredrik Backman is a Swedish author who began his career as a blogger and columnist before publishing his debut novel, A Man Called Ove, in 2012. Writing exclusively in Swedish, his work is translated into English by Henning Koch, Neil Smith, Alice Menzies, and Damion Searls, and includes the novels A Man Called Ove, Britt-Marie Was Here, and Anxious People, the Beartown trilogy, and several novellas and essay collections. He won the Swedish book industry's "Author of the Year" honor in 2016 for Beartown, the first installment of the trilogy he concluded with The Winners.
